Resubmittals are the process by which we confirm the reponse from the client to our original submittal. We need to make the changes that have been asked for and often resubmit to the client

Changing Part Numbers

If a part number is changed from the original quote (which has pricing) update the part number and delete pricing / confirm whether or not we need to reprice – changes in part numbers can often mean changes in price and we need to confirm with the manufacturer.

Tracking changes

  1. Write notes on changes in the notes section of submittal on oasis
  2. For bigger projects, track submittal changes in excel (see excel template in DB jobs folder)
  3. Save copies of responses and re-submittals in DB project specific submittals folder.
  4. Use nomenclature to keep them in order.
    Example: FLX10.2.19:
    – FLX+date = Submittal created by FLX
    – RESPONSE+date = Redline submittal response sent back by client
